Audition Information

Please find an audition pack for LHP’s production of Les Misérables under the attachments tab.

Audition Packs can also be downloaded direct from Laughing Horse Productions Facebook page.

The auditions will take place on Saturday 11th March 2023 at Koorliny Arts Centre with Call-backs (if required) to take place on Sunday 12th March 2023. Please use the Main entrance.

The performance dates are July School Holidays – July 7, 8, 14 & 15. All performances will take place at the Koorliny Arts Centre, Kwinana.

Please note: This a non-paying community theatre production.

TO AUDITION

Please register with admin@laughinghorse.asn.au and state the character/s you are wanting to audition for

Head the Email with Les Misérables Audition (and include your first name) Example: "Les Misérables Catherine"

Also include a headshot and theatrical CV where possible along with a completed (filled in) audition pack.

Expect a return email to state that you are registered. Please text Administration (0438919729) if you have not received your reply within 5 days.

CALLBACKS

If you are successful in progressing to Call-backs, you may be asked to sing your audition song again or the song that/if it has been provided along with a cold read of scene that will be given to you on the day.

Those who do not progress to call-backs are not cut from consideration. Please note: If you do advance to Call-backs and do not attend, you may be taken out of consideration for a lead role.

Once all call-backs are completed, we will aim to contact all auditionees within the following week if you have been successful or not in your auditions for the production. Please note: Call-backs does not guarantee placement within the cast.

IF you are auditioning for a LEAD but would also like to be considered for a FEATURE role and the ENSEMBLE. You do not need to go to the Ensemble + Feature Role audition time. The first page of your audition pack asks for these details for us to hold onto.

Please see the audition pack and ensure that you are available for the marked Tech rehearsals and Production Weeks.

Please provide a CV/performance experience and include a short informative paragraph about yourself.
